Modification Tesla Windshield Production Line - Project Overview
August 2024
During my internship at IT-Site Krzysztof Adamaus, I had the incredible opportunity to contribute to one of the company’s key projects: the modification of Tesla’s windshield production line. This project allowed me to be involved in every step of the process, from initial planning to final implementation, providing me with invaluable hands-on experience and exposure to the full lifecycle of an industrial automation project.
The goal of the project was to redesign and upgrade the existing production line to enhance its efficiency and functionality. My role as a Software Development Intern was integral to this effort, as I participated in every stage of the project, including:
Designing in AutoCAD:
- Collaborated with the team to draft the layout and modifications of the production line using AutoCAD.
- Focused on optimizing the spatial arrangement to ensure seamless integration of new components.
Control Panel Design in EPLAN:
- Assisted in designing the control panel using EPLAN software.
- Ensured that all electrical components and connections were properly specified and aligned with the project’s requirements.
Control Panel Assembly:
- Participated in the physical construction of the control panel.
- Verified the proper installation of components to maintain safety and functionality.
Production Line Modification:
- Collaborated with the team to implement physical changes to the existing production line.
- Ensured that all modifications were carried out in compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
PLC Programming in Siemens TIA Portal:
- Spent the majority of my time programming the PLC controllers that manage the production line.
- Developed and tested programs to control various aspects of the production process, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Debugged and optimized the PLC code to address any issues that arose during implementation.
